Working Horse Central (WHC) is designed to promote the technique and skill of working horses.
WHC is focused on the preservation of the working horse in a modern mechanical era while enabling both professionals and the average horse owner to compete in a commonsense discipline highlighting functional biomechanics coupled with mental and physical soundness.
Our Mission
The mission of Working Horse Central is to highlight the working horse while promoting long term mental and physical soundness. The competitions will focus on building horses through levels in a way to promote functional biomechanics, healthy posture, self-carriage, adjustability, relaxation, fitness, and a solid partnership between horse and rider. The goal of Working Horse Central is to highlight the versatility of the horse while advancing the partnership of the horse and rider through levels designed to build skills required in the working horse. Working Horse Central is not breed or discipline specific. All breeds and disciplines are welcome.
Working Horse Central, LLC is an education and competition platform.
The goal is to create a competition format and environment for working horses promoting functional soundness. This is not an association with membership. To compete, you must choose pass-holder levels, pay the fee for the desired pass and pay entry fees at shows. There will be show partners approved to host shows and officials approved to officiate shows. Events will begin being held in 2022 with rules, patterns and obstacles to be available on our goal date of December 1, 2021.
This LLC is owned by Tarrin Warren and will be governed by an executive director and an advisory board. Website and marketing services are provided by O’Rorke Marketing.
Fees collected from passes will go towards business expenses to include, business taxes, business expenses, web hosting, professional services, awards, contract labor, insurance, etc. Left over funds are retained by Working Horse Central as profit. Show fees collected by show partners will go to cover show expenses, awards, insurance, pay officials, facility fees, contract labor, etc with any additional left over funds retained by show partner as profit.
This is not a membership platform nor is it membership driven. It is a competition platform creating a commonsense competition format for individuals and their horses to enjoy the challenges presented to working horses. Passes and partnerships can be revoked at anytime.
